Like a lot of the obsure bugs, it’s hard to find interesting facts about some of these (unless, of course, I consult AI and it confidently proclaims they’re made entirely of cheese, have 1 billion legs and were instrumental in the fall of the Roman Empire).

So, instead, I’ll talk a little about the drawing process. This one involved buying and spreading a specimen which had lost a lot of its original colours, being mostly yellow and brown. So I used my specimen to capture the pose and details, whilst referring to photos online for more accurate colours.
